With the Holidays (and the cold) approaching, what better way to warm up than with some Spiked Apple Cider!? It’s extremely easy to make and incredibly satisfying. Here’s how to do it!
What You’ll Need
Serves 4 to 6 thirsty guests
6 cups unsweetened apple cider
2 cups dark rum (1 cup if you want something lighter)
1 apple (sliced)
1 ½ tsp whole cloves
1 ½ tsp allspice berries
⅓ cup maple syrup
6 cinnamon sticks
Pinch of nutmeg
What to Do
This recipe is quite easy and not very time consuming. You’ll be sipping on delicious Apple Cider in 15 minutes.
Step 1: Combine all the ingredients, except the rum, in a large pot and bring to a simmer over low/medium heat (don’t let it boil). Simmer for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 2: Add the rum to the mixture and remove from heat.
Step 3: Strain out all the spices and the apple and serve immediately. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
There you have it! Spiked Apple Cider with maple and spices! Perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any other fall or winter gathering.
